Technical description of the tracing and characteristics
The Lombardic part of the tracing involves all the western hinterland of Milan and has a rectilinear and flat tracing and crosses Pero, Rho, Legnano, Busto Arsizio and Gallarate. Sesto Calende enters in the Piemonte's territory coasting the south side of the lake Maggiore. Exceeded the graft with the SS32 it goes back up the right side of the lake passing through the bigger centers: Arona, Stresa and Baveno.
